Whether the people can decide which news is genuine and which is not depends
on how their analytical skills have developed. And my take is that analytical
power of the population grows only by exposing it to different views and not
by protecting it from views, incorrect or otherwise. Sure there would be
problems coming from mischief mongers when the overall analytical power of the
population is low. But to cross this barrier and reach a higher plane of
analytical capabilities, we need more views and more analysis and more news,
not less.
