Pakis Break Ceasefire (Should We Be Surprised?)

Police in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir say that four Indian
soldiers have been killed in cross-border firing with Pakistan in the
Jammu
region.

The reports of the exchanges with Pakistani troops on Wednesday follow a

month's relative calm on the border.

This followed India's decision to extend what it calls its unilateral
ceasefire in Kashmir, and Pakistan's pledge to excercise maximum
restraint
on its side of the disputed region.

Police in Jammu said Pakistani troops began heavy firing on an Indian
position in Hiranagar sector on the international border between the two

countries in Jammu.

They said a soldier of the paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) was
killed in the firing.

Police said Indian troops retaliated and the exchange of fire continued
for
about 15 minutes.

Indian officials say they do not know if there were any casualties on
the
Pakistani side.

Frontier post

In another incident, an Indian soldier was killed at a frontier post in
Laam
sector of Rajouri district.

Police said Pakistani soldiers fired at the post from close range.

Three others were injured in the attack.

A similar incident was reported from Arhayee Mandi area in Poonch
district,
where the authorities say that two soldiers were killed.

A pro-Pakistan militant group - Al Badr - has claimed that the Indian
soldiers died in attacks launched by them and not in cross-border
firing.

A man identifying himself as a spokesman for the group called up the BBC
and
claimed that 25 Indian soldiers died in these attacks.

The Indian army has rejected the claim

And of course our Indian Leftist friends will tell us that we should yet

again put our trust back in Pakistan, and go for yet another ceasefire,
in
the name of "peace". What we have to realize is that Leftists aren't
interested in peace of any kind, except seeing Indian soldiers in the
cold
peace of the grave. A society that's worth preserving, is one that
values
those who risk their lives in sacrifice for it. Leftists of course don't

share such values, and treat soldiers as beasts of burden, to be
Pakistani
cannon fodder.

Leftists are thus responsible for one of Indians' greatest pastimes --
emigration.
