Apartheid: The Leftists Ally
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Please help make the Manifesto better, or accept it, and propagate it!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
All of our Leftist friends are fond of pretending to preach ethics. They
also keep telling us to reconcile with Pakistan. Take a look at the
apartheid state next door -- why won't the Leftists open their mouths
about
that? Apparently their morals stop at the border, after which which any
crime can occur and escape their notice. How convenient.
Leftists aren't about ethics -- their "morality" is selective and
self-serving. We all know that the Leftists reserve their criticism only
for
certain communities, and not out of any sense of principle.

Joint electorate system backed
By Our Correspondent
ISLAMABAD, Jan 2: The federal minister for local government and rural
development, Omar Asghar Khan, has asked the government and
policy-making
institutions to give serious consideration to the minorities' demand of
introducing joint electorate system in general elections.
Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, the minister suggested
that
next year's general elections should be held on the basis of joint
electorate system.
He agreed with a questioner that the minority community had generally
boycotted the local bodies elections in the 18 districts as a protest
against the separate electorate system, introduced by Gen Ziaul Haq.
He said he had received disturbing reports from certain parts of the
country
that the minorities did not participate in the local bodies election
with
full zeal which showed their dissatisfaction with the existing system of
separate electorates.
He was of the opinion that if the minorities' groups were not ready to
contest elections under the separate electorate system, then their
demand
should be given serious thought by everyone, including the government,
policy-making institutions and concerned citizens of the country. He
said
personally he saw no harm in accommodating their demand of joint
electorates, as they were also citizens of this state and enjoyed equal
rights.
