Because that will really really hurt their (the politicians')
cherished builder-ganglord "bhailog". If they don;t contribute, who
will run the elections for these thieves-in-khadi ?
and don't worry sir, delegations upon delegations will go to the land
of the rising sun and sunny california, and not only officials, their
wives, children, uncles, grandparents, neighbours, friends, doodhwala
and what have you... sabki baari aayegi.. sab banenge crorepati..

forgive me for the sarcasm, but I think this is the state of affairs..
we don't need plans, we need people with the will to implement them.
As i said earlier, if the IS code (code no: 456 - design of reinforced
concrete structures) itself was followed, most of the structures would
have been safe. Yes, one place where we really need to work on is a
disaster managment cell in the home ministry.

>or will the public sentiment diminish because of very low EQ ?...this

blatant generalisation. I really think you ought to be toning down
your anti-urban sentiments as nearly 1/3'rd of india is urban today

The urbanites have also helped, sir. In many ways and in sending a lot
of relief material.
