The US has been drafting a long-term policy in Asia and possibly in the
war rooms of CIA, etc.  What role can India play so that US doesn't
defile the region?

There was a suggestion of common markets in the region but I am not
convinced on how to go about it.  Unless Asia's economic (and its
military) power grows in the region, US will continue to dictate its own
version of the policies.
