RE: ..noise pollution has to end

Please help make the Manifesto better, or accept it, and propagate it!

Agreed. But it will atleast give 'considerable leverage' for
some
Governments , may be of state, who are bold to implement New directives
controlling noise. Now the lingering doubt that one may approach court
is
alleviated because this observation of the highest court is always a
'reference'.I believe the court's observation has taken us leaps ahead
In
noise control and assoicated 'obligatory' pressure on cops who give
permission to noisy pandals.
Even if sections like vhp show a pointer to Namaz, there may be
a
bold DM or SDPO like Seshan who implements
The observation in the form of local law.It is press that
spreads
the message across, for the rest of country to emulate. Ofcourse it is
too
big a wishful thinking but.. at least the topic has been cleared from
'biggest filter' and came out clean that is supreme court of India ! The
same court did not shy out and take shelter in the name of 'Sensitivity'
of
the issue, by keeping in mind Namaz, to say, a noise for a few mts in a
period of few hours should be allowed (apparantly to accommodate namaz
in a
timid manner.. just the way the same court
Lingered and lingered for a long time shying out from historical
facts of Babri-Ayodhya tangle..).
This bold ness of the court in not giving concessions to any
thing
like above and straighaway read out rather bluntly that no religion
prescribes noise, and it is right of each child and old person to sleep
well, right of each student to study well in noise free atmosphere. That
is
really pleasing.
