Questions, Vamsi:
What comprises the GoI?
Who votes it into power?
Who mans its institutions?
Individuals, right.
One cannot keep on talking of the big, bad GoI without considering ways
to
change the situation [well, one can, I guess, but that is just a futile
exercise]. One cannot change the institutions without changing the
individuals - individuals who will pass the laws to change the
institutions,
individuals who will ultimately put these laws into practice.
It was simpler with the British Raj, anybody with a white skin was the
culprit. Now it is the one billion Indians who are the culprits. Those
who
perpetuate it, those who take it and those who talk about it from the
safety
of distant shores.So let us talk about steps to solve the problem. Any
ideas?
