Modification to Preamble

I wished to propose the following change in the Preamble:

Earlier:

"That political groups which use differences of religion, caste, or
language, to come to power, have hurt India very badly." 

Now (additions in purple on the web page):

"That political groups which use differences of religion, caste, or
language, to come to power, have hurt India very badly, both before and
after independence." 

Please vet.
