I would say the oppositon's views should be weighted by the success of their
policies or atleast the attemtps to implement their policies, when they (oppsn)
had ruled earlier. But this will not be applicable to the parties which never
came into power. If these are small local (state) parties, then one shd also
assess how they had performed and how their policies were, in their state.
Alos, the opposition should come out with clear, detailed pros and cons of the
policies proposed by ruling party and also suggest a clearer alternative.
For.e.g: If AIADMK now demands that DMK govt shd be thorwn out, it should come
up with numbers reflecting that the "state of Affairs" in Tamilnadu is bad.
Also it should compare it with the numbers, when AIADMK had ruled.

By the way how is this issue taken care of, in other countires? Caould some one
enlighten me?
