Admn: Discussion List Primer

I don't know how many of us are familiar with discussion lists. I for one
was quite unfamiliar, having hardly subscribed to a couple earlier, and
mostly in the digest form. 

For those not quite familiar, I found an excellent resource on the web
that I would recommend:

I am now in the "elevated" status of "moderator" and I should also start
learning a few things. Maybe some of the members can help by volunteering
to be moderators so that we can all learn this process and prepare
ourselves to share responsibilities when this list expands to a much
larger size.
